We Are Renovating!

What a gem. The Barker Mansion is so rich in history. You are taken back in time and it is fascinating. The staff are amazing and so knowledgeable. I plan to go back and bring others with me.

The restoration being done is outright stunningly beautiful. Michigan City has a gem. A huge THANKS YOU TO THE BARKER FAMILY DESCENDENTS for truly bringing the mansion back to life. Felt as if I was visiting the family and having Santa there for Christmas in the parlor made it so special. Michelle answered all our questions with enthusiasm and outright respect foe the Barker family A beautiful voice of Santa and my 97 year old Mom singing Silent Night was beyond what I could have ever been given as a Chritmas gift!!! Thank you for all your hard work for having a shining moment in time as part of Michigan City's history. (Wish I could attach a video of them singing) it would warm your hearts. And yes the have made disability accessible accommodations. Just let them know when you arrive and they will help with those in wheelchairs. Michigan City Resident Elaine K Criswell

Went for a tour today after the mansion was recently renovated. Our tour guide was funny, energetic, and informative. Highly recommended for those of us who enjoys history, art, and architecture.

Our group decided to purchase the guided tour and we're so glad we did. Michele has a passion for her job as Operations Manager and provided a great tour with lots of details. Her sparkling personality and knowledge of the mansion made our time there memorable and fun! This place is a destination worthy jewel. Extensively (and kind of incredibly) restored over the last couple years. We were going to skip the tour and stumbled onto Craig’s tour. It’d be great without a tour guide but is 10X more interesting with the tour because the house and family have a really interesting history. Loved it
