Ticket Refund and Exchange Policy

We appreciate your interest in visiting The Barker Mansion. To ensure a positive experience for all guests, please review our ticket refund and exchange policy prior to your visit.

General Admission Tickets

  • Refunds: General admission tickets are non-refundable. However, if you are unable to visit on your selected date due to unforeseen circumstances, you may request a one-time date exchange (see below).
  • Exchanges: Date changes are permitted once per ticket, subject to availability. Requests must be made at least 24 hours prior to the original visit date by contacting

Guided Tours

  • Refunds: Tickets for guided tours are non-refundable unless the tour is canceled by The Barker Mansion due to weather, staffing, or other issues.
  • Exchanges: Tour tickets may be exchanged for another available tour date/time if requested at least 48 hours in advance. No changes are permitted within 48 hours of the scheduled tour.

Special Events

  • Refunds: Special event tickets are non-refundable unless the event is canceled or rescheduled by The Barker Mansion.
  • Exchanges: Exchanges are not guaranteed but may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Requests must be submitted at least 72 hours prior the event start time.
  • Note: Special event location(s) are subject to change and may be modified by The Barker Mansion without notice.

Weather Policy

The Barker Mansion is open rain or shine. Refunds or exchanges due to inclement weather are not permitted unless the site or event is closed by The Barker Mansion.

Cancellations by The Barker Mansion

If we cancel a program, tour, or event, guests will be offered a full refund or the option to reschedule, based on availability.

Product Refund and Exchange Policy

All sales are final. We do not offer refunds or exchanges.

The Barker Mansion Visitor Agreement

In consideration for being permitted to enter and/or participate in activities at the Barker Mansion and surrounding grounds located at The Barker Mansion in Michigan City, Indiana (“Property”), the ticketed entrant (“Visitor”) agrees to the following terms:

  1. Acknowledgment of Risk
    Visitor acknowledges that the Property includes old structures, uneven surfaces, steps, low-clearance areas, antique furnishings, natural terrain, and other hazards typically associated with historic buildings and grounds. Visitor voluntarily assumes all risks associated with access, including but not limited to the risk of personal injury, property damage, or death.
  2. Release of Liability
    To the fullest extent permitted by law, Visitor hereby waives, releases, and discharges the owners of the Property, its affiliates, officers, employees, agents, representatives, volunteers, and any associated organizations (“Released Parties”) from any and all liability for any claims, demands, damages, injuries, or causes of action arising out of or in connection with their visit, whether caused by the Released Parties’ negligence or otherwise.
  3. Indemnification
    Visitor agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from any and all claims, damages, costs, or expenses (including attorney’s fees) arising from Visitor’s conduct while on the Property.
  4. Photography and Media
    Visitor acknowledges that photographs or video may be taken during visits or events and consents to the use of their likeness for promotional or archival purposes, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  5. Compliance with Rules
    Visitor agrees to comply with all posted signs and guidelines provided by staff or event organizers and understands that failure to do so may result in removal from the Property.
  6. Minors
    If the Visitor is agreeing on behalf of a minor, they represent that they are the minor’s parent or legal guardian and have the legal right to consent to this release on their behalf.
